About Our School & Community

Whitewater High School is a comprehensive public high school in the Fayette County Public School System, serving approximately 1,300 students in grades 9–12 (Class of 2027: ~300 students).

Our school offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum organized on a 7-period day across two 18-week semesters. Each course earns 0.5 credit per term. Juniors and seniors with a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher may opt out of one period.

Located 25 miles south of Atlanta, our vibrant, family-oriented suburb benefits from a strong local economy with major employers in healthcare, aviation, technology, and education.

GPA Weighting: Fayette County Schools calculate a weighted GPA only. Advanced Placement (AP) courses receive +1.0 weight, and Dual Enrollment (DE) courses receive +0.5 weight. No extra weight is given to Honors or Gifted courses.
Class Rank: Rank is cumulative, based on the student's weighted numeric GPA across all subjects, incorporating AP/DE weight. Rank is reported as a percentile.
