Chromebook Insurance

 

 

Parents can purchase Chromebook insurance for the 2025-2026 school year for $15 per student. Insurance coverage is provided by SmartTech Insurance and can be purchased through their website or by calling their customer service number at 877-307-6777.

Insurance covers your student and not a specific FCBOE device. 

• For grades K-6, type NA in the Serial number/Asset tag field.
• For grades 7-12, you will need the Serial number/Asset tag from the assigned device when you enroll in the insurance program. These numbers are located on the back of the Chromebook. 
  • The Asset Number is on the label that says "Property of Fayette County BOE eSPLOST Purchase". It is a yellow or white label with an 8-digit number.
  • The Serial Number is printed directly on the computer. It is a combination of letters and numbers that begin after SN#.

Coverage is good until July 31, 2026.
